1/48 scale Snoopy flying ace decals??
Posted by Deaf Smith on Friday, November 27, 2020 11:26 AM

Greetings all,

I am gearing up to build a bird for a Viet Nam era F-4 driver friend whose call name was Snoopy.  I want to take some livery liberty and add a Snoopy decal to the model.

Have any of you ever run across an aircraft decal set with the flying Snoopy or am I gonna have to print decals myself.

Many thanks,

Deaf Smith

There were a few F-4s marked with Snoopy artwork during Vietnam. But how many were made into decals? I do know of one old set that includes Snoopy, but it’s long OOP.

AOA Decals makes a set called 'Dogs of War' for the Cessna O-1 Bird Dogs. I believe Set #1 which includes the USAF decals has at least one image pair of Snoopy flying on his dog house in 1/48 scale. You might see if you can find an online image of the decal sheet. I couldn't find one clear enough to see.
