Happy Holidays everyone! Well, I'm rushing to get my 24th build of 2021 completed and I've run into a roadblock. I'm building a kit that came only with "peel & stick" markings. I was going to try to substitute water slide decals from my spares box but everything is either too big or too small. My question is after you apply the stickers can you apply either a dull coat or a semi- gloss coat over them to help them adhere better or will the clear coat make them peel up? Thanks and I hope that everyone has a safe and Happy New Year!

Is there any way you can scan them, and then print on decal film?

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.
I wish that I could but I don't have those capabilities. Thanks
I am curious about the kit you are building. Is it like a snap kit?

My Mach 5 kit is the same way and just recently bought a decal 'kit' that I may try. I'll put the stickers on my tool chest ;)
Thanks,
John
MR TOM SCHRY I wish that I could but I don't have those capabilities. Thanks TJS
Most printers these days will both scan and print. I already have a good scanner, but need a new printer. I thought buying a one without a scanner would be cheaper, but that seems not to be the case. I guess having the tracks and stepper motors is the big cost. I guess a couple of photo sensors and a bit of software don't add much to them.
Unfortunately, the chip shortage seems to have driven up the cost of printers!

Thank you to everyone who responded. I ended up putting the stickers/decals on until I run across some 1/32 or 1/48 decals. I didn't apply any clear coat so they should remove easily. I tried some 1/28 decals but they were too large. When I find the decals I'll just pull off the stickers and apply the water slide decals. I want to wish all of the modelers here on this forum a Happy New Year
