Does Meteor Productions take good care of customers?

I have no idea Mike. Have you ever considered checking out TwoBobs decals for your Eagle?

I ordered a set from them for my F-18 and they were cheap and fantastic. I got mine for around 6 bucks and paid no shipping. You might just be ahead of the game to grab some good quality am decals.

This is for my Skyraider not the Eagle.

I have decals from TwoBobs for the Eagle and they are excellent, unfortunately they don't have Skyraider decals that I am aware of.
I bought two sets of the Anaconda Eagles on closeout from TwoBobs for less than $3 each sheet.

Mike, I have purchased several decal sheets and resin sets from Meteor under their Cutting Edge label. Never had a problem, so don't know how well they respond to issues. Sounds like you got a sheet that wasn't properly top-coated. Swanny posted a similar problem a few weeks ago with one of their sheets. Maybe they are having some QC problems. Let us know how they handle it, I've a few sheets that I haven't tested yet.

Ah, I don't know where my mind was. I read Skyraider, but I was looking at the pic in your sig and thinking Eagle. Hehe, jeez., sorry. I do like the Twobobs though.

I was able to find these am decal sets for a skyraider. Some of them have the same cammo scheme as you. The last one is a stencel set, which may or may not be handy.

Thanks for that info and I will let you know what I hear from Meteor.
I had trouble with only about three decals of the ones I used and I have never seen this happen before. The biggest decal with the yellow and black checkerboards had one area that almost looked like someone had sliced it two or three times with an X-acto blade.
It looked fine on the decal sheet but after soaking in water and sliding it off with a red sable paint brush the slits became apparent. I did get it to look alright though and I only need the aircraft numbers 'kT' for one side as the "T" came apart on me and was not repairable on one side.

Well I received this note from Meteor in an email today:

"This message is to let you know that we received your request for replacement sheet and we will send it to you as soon as possible."

So it sounds like they do indeed have good customer service.

meteor productions are very prfessional and will usually replace decals if necessary. I have bought from them a number of times, had no problems, but a mate of mine had a similar problem to yourself. He e-mailed them and they promptly sent a replacement sheet.
No porblems.

Thanks for the offer, that is very kind of you my friend.

I am glad they are sending another sheet as the checkerboard on one side of the rear fuselage has a light crease in the decal that I was unable to cure.
I think I will remove it when the replacement sheet gets here and redo it.

I do want to say that Meteor Productions service is fast! I ordered their Gemini Decal set and they had it on my doorstep in two days. They are quick, cheap and they have most of what I need.

Meteor sure gets my vote for speedy delivery and customer service. I have never had a problem with them. If you ever talk to the people there you will be impressed.

Mike, just a late message. I also recently ordered from them for the first time. They have a tendency, it seems, to have specific decals unavailable at other places! And, sitting in South Africa, I can tell you they are speedy! Got my decals very quickly, much quicker than expected. Well packaged, no damage.

Yours have a much shorter trip and I'm sure you'll be satisfied!

Just a word of caution. I was a bit stumped by getting just a receipt at first, with the decals pitching up a day or two later. But they explained that it is they way they do it. I have since come across Squadron doing the same. Maybe just for overseas orders.

Mike, on new orders they usually ship very quickly. I've never waited more than 5 days from date of order to delivery. If you bought them from a third parties stock, it's possible Meteor is out of stock. My offer still holds.

I bought them directly from Meteor so they should have them.
They sent me that email about replacing them on Monday the 17th so it may take a few more days to get here depending on when they sent them, if they have.

I have another flaw in one of the checkerboard decals so I am hoping to replace that also with the new sheet.

Mike, if they don't come through, I can spare the Checkerboards also. I bought the sheet for the Gull Grey bird with the Tiger Stripes, so no big deal.

No Mike, the one I posted recently was a US Navy bird. I was thinking of doing another one as VNAF with the Tiger Stripes. The pics are on rongeorge's site and they get moved around and the URL's get changed. Kind of a pain, but it's free so can't complain too much.
