I agree with Butch.

I like the 48 hour rule myself:
Paint, wait 48 hours, Future, wait 48 hours, decals, wait 48 hours, Future again, wait 48 hours, and then spray your clear flat coat.

Maybe 48 hours is not necessary for the decals to set properly, but it couldn't hurt I guess. Wink [;)]

Sounds like the decals did not set long enough. Next time try sealing decals with future let it dry well then mist the dull coat in coats.. Too heavy a cote will lift even set up decals.
Must take care when putting on coats of clear laquer over decals..
Hope this helps

Did you use Micro Sol instead of Micro Set?

Well, I used testor dull coate in a spray can. I only put future on a few spots where I was decalling. I am using Micro Set by Microscale Industries. One the dull coat dried some of the decals aren't bad but some are realy wrinkled. I did not clear coat the entire model.

Not only what dullcoat did you use but did you gloss coat prior to decal application and did you use any setting solutions.

Trouble with decals

Hi. I just got done decalling my F-15C. When I sprayed it with dull coat to get rid of the shine from future, it lifted the edges and wrinkled the decals really bad. Any Ideas or suggestions? The decals applied over the future that I used a swab to wick away the extra moisture didn't seem to be affected much if the were affected at all.

Thanks.
