Once they have been topcoated, removal will mar the paint to some extent. The 3M Magic Tape should still remove them, but obviously the topcoat over the decal will be removed also. A very light sanding might feather it back OK. At worst, a light sanding & repaint of the surface will be required, but you can salvage the model.

Removing decals.... again
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, June 27, 2004 4:41 AM
Hi everyone, I've painted the model with enamel, used humbrol clear, slapped on the decals and sealed with humbrol satin. Now I want to remove these decals without damaging the paint job (I've taken decals off on other models with 3m tape but they were not sealed in) is their a way?
Thank's all!
