hair dryer for drying decals

HEY,
Personally i wouldnt, cuz i would think that the decals would curl and crinkle with the extra heat, but im not sure. Maybe it wont, but i wouldt do it anyway. Decals are pretty dry after about ten minutes anyway, and if that is too long of a wait for this is the wrong hobby.lol

Hmmmm??? I use a hair dryer with decals, but not to dry them. The heat softens up the decals and works like a softening solution. I've found that this works really well for getting decals to go around curves and conform to uneven areas.

yea thats kinda what i needed it for... doin c/f decvals in cars... lots of curves and angles....
i found a old hairdryer of my mums and it says its 1300 watts... it has a low setting and i tryed that, but i kinda held it far away so the air was almost cool....
now that i know it can do that ill experiment a lil, holding it closer....
it should work with the microsol im using ?

I found that using a hair dryer of about 1000W with decals that had been microsoled allowed them to conform around the many curves on one of my resent builds. Curves are no problem know

I was busy applying heat from a hair drier the other day and wndering just how much heat the decal and plastic could stand. I have had it quite hot, almost too hot for your hand, and had no difficulties but generally I will hold the drier about 6-9" away and only use the lowest heat setting. Heat and Microsol really works well on decals covering complex curves. Once when no hair drier was available I used the grill in the oven as the heat source!!!
