fantasy island

I'm getting ready for the "if it floats and flies" group build. I'm going to build the Czech Models Grumman Goose and I was told recently that "the plane" on fantasy Island was a Goose. So, as you might have guessed, I would like to build this into one and the same. What I could use is pics of the Fantasy Island Plane. I've found only a couple online wich were black and white and tiny.

thanks all,

mahoney

I called a freiend of mine on this for you,
He used to be the drummer in the "Fantasy Island band" that greeted the new arrivals.
he told me that the plane was actually just a built half fusalage on set, they used to show passengers dissembarking from.
Flight shots were just stock footage.
Most of thier shots were done separately anyway.
He said he'd look thru his old photos and see if he had anything that showed the fusalage, or any old stock footage they used with the plane in it.
If he finds it I'll pm you with a copy.
don't hold your breath tho.

sounds great. From what I remember, the plane was marked rather basically. I've begun work on the diorama and I think people will get the idea.

thanks for the reply,

I just heard back from Jack today.
He says sorry but he doesn't have any pictures of the airplane....
however if you want a picture of Tatoo in his underwear having make-up applied, he's your man.

I live 3 blocks from the place where they filmed the outdoor shots. I can get you a pic of the bell tower if you want(or the dock). Smile [:)] They just shot "Meet the Fokkers" there.

Swanny, for having that piece of information in your head, waiting for the day it would be needed, I don't know if you are a scholar of the modeling arts, or the biggest geek this side of MIT.
