1/35 scale german flags
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, October 31, 2004 5:53 PM
Hi all,

I'm really interested in finding any info pertaining to the german flags that lay on top of the german vehicles of WWII. My understanding, these flags were draped over the vehicles to protect them from being bombed from their own aircraft. I am an avid WWII German war buff & builder and would love to find some of these flags. Thanks for any help!!Cool [8D]

Most of the time, people paint tissue paper then soak it in a diluted solution of Elmer's white glue the apply it to the tank so it will drape naturally. Finding accurate German flags is difficult since most countries forbid marketing anything with a swastika on them. That is why most German subjects are missing those markings.

archer fine transfers also makes some, both damaged, and not. there's probably someone out there who makes them as well, you jsut have to look at some online shops.

BTW- ipms33206, are you sure most countries do that? last i heard it was only nations of the European continent.

I just ordered some flags from here (and just noted that they're on break until the 17 November), but haven't received them yet.

why dont you just get one of the internet or scan one and print it out
then soak it in white glue and water and drape it where you want, trail and error
