Hasegawa Decals.

M rex, I used hasegawa decals for the first time last night and was impressed with them. I am builting the 1999 Kenya ford focus. The decals were nice and conformed to all the curves that the orange sections need to. I have done all the orange sections on the bonnet and roof, I did notice that they don't slide easily once applied. I found that i need to place them on a puddle of water on the model and them position them and whick away the water. Hope this helps.

Gunze Mr Mark decal softener works really well with Hasegawa decals.

As they tend to be a tad thick, this stuff will help the decal conform to surface detail

Hasegawa decals are thick but they are also quite soft as well. A few years ago I did there Silk Cut Jaguar XJR-9 kit and was quite impressed with how all those decals conformed with small applications of Solvaset. My latest was The F-117 and again they conformed very well. Just make sure the surface is glossy and you should have no problems.

I've never used Hasegawa decals. Im working on the promodeller f-4e which is a rebox of the haseg. but i think it has upgraded cartograf decals...

Hasegawa kit decals are usually useable, if not as good a quality as the better AM's. I use the Microscale Set & Sol system with good results.

I have had great luck using Future instead of solvent. A little dab under the decal and a little on top to seal it. Future really make decals conform to panel lines.

I agree I've not had any signiicant problems with Haseqawa decals and the Micros set/sol combination plus a bit of heat from a hair drier.
