Techmod Decals
Posted by Spurdog on Friday, November 12, 2004 4:38 AM
I've just bought a set of Techmod decals for my Tamiya 1/48 Spitfire Mk. V. Has anyone any experience of Techmod decals? Are they any good? Most importantly, are they better than the Tamiya decals, which for this kit anyway, have a dubious reputation?

Yes, yes and yes, way better. They are thin and beautifully printed and respond well to setting solutions.

I'll second bstrump's comments. Techmod decals are delightful to work with. Color is clear an in register, they're thin and snuggle down on varying surfaces well if they're prepped properly, and they look great when you're done.

I've only used a couple of their sheets & had no problems. They seem to be high Quality, right up there with Aeromaster & others. They are definitely an improvement over the Tamiya kit decals.
