Decal setting solution

Hi Hobby,

No flats are not godd for decal adhesion because the will cause air to become trapped under the decal and cause silvering. stick with a gloss coat first then the decals then the flat coat. as for decal setting soutions just where are you??? you can order them from online sources and shipped to you.

Hi! im a new modeler and would like to ask you guys if a
clear flat would do the work for stiking thouse decals in

I used to keep Solvaset, but haven't in some time mostly because I don't have a ready source. As I recall, it was one of those setting solutions I kept for the tougher decals, as I mentioned in the post I just added on the Sky Decals. But I remember losing some thin decals to distortion because the Solvaset was too strong. That it's used by railroaders would explain a lot. I mean, those are the folks that use Dio-Sol on a day to day basis.

Also Gunze makes a product called "Mr. Mark Softer" that's just about as powerful as Solvaset.

The shops most likely to carry Walthers products will be model railroad oriented, although our LHS stocks Solvaset & they carry no other Walthers products. I think you can also order direct from Walthers.
