Matching FS colors on my PC?
Posted by rlawson on Thursday, February 3, 2005 3:36 PM
I'm getting ready to make white markings, using Micro-Mark's white inkjet paper, and need to match FS colors for the background. My immediate need is Dark Sea Blue, FS 15042. Using the color chart in MS Word or the equivalent, it seems possible to get any background color you want with the proper selection of RGB (or HSL) values. Does anyone know of an existing reference to match these values to common FS colors?

TIA

Here's a link to a R/C modeller's web site where he's done exactly that, matching RGB values to FS colors, but I can't personally vouch for their correctness.

Waikong -

This seems to be just what I was hoping for. Many thanks for the tip.
I'll still need to check them against paint colors, but it's a great starting point.
Thanks again.
