Aeromaster 1/72 Recon birds Decals
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, February 23, 2005 6:03 AM
I'm building a couple of WW2 Allied recce aircraft - a F-5E Lightning and a Mosquito PRXVI. I've got the basic kits and the conversion kits, but I'm really struggling to find suitable decals. The Aeromaster 72-032 Recon Birds sheet is the one I'm really after. Can anyone out there help me track it down. I've got a spare F-5E nose conversion if anyone wants to trade. Thanks a lot. Hi,
I cant help with the Aeromaster sheet, but I have a spare Ventura set for the Mosquito (V7256) with 4 schemes for USAAF PRXVI's.
And I have Aeromaster 72-027 which has two F-5E's of the 7th and 10th PRG.
Any good to you?

Regards

Hi Mark

Thanks a lot for your reply. Apologies for not getting back to you sooner, but I've just got back from a hill climbing holiday in Scotland. (Not too many internet cafe's about up there)! The Aeromaster sheet 72-027 for the F-5 is of great interest. Are you interested in the spare F-5E resin nose I've got or would you be willing to sell the decals? Please contact me via e-mail at: muzzaking@hotmail.co.uk or if you'd prefer telephone 01480 456848 and ask for Murray.

Again, thanks a lot for getting in touch.
Regards

Murray

Hello mate,

I can't help you out with your decals, but I am curious what kit and conversion set you're using for a 1/72 scale F-5 Lightning.

I'm intending to build a 1/48 scale F-5 Lightning from the Academy kit. Someone kindly sent me the Aeromaster decals for it, but unfortunately the Shark Mouth art isn't consistent with the photographs on www.33rdprs.org , so I may end up painting it on by hand. I usually build 1/72, but decided to go for 1/48 for this because I thought I'd have trouble tracking down the right kit in 72, and I wanted to build one of the aircraft that my wife's grandad flew.

All wars should be fought at 1/72 scale. Currently working on (very slowly): Airfix 1/72 Hawker Hurricane Mk1 Amodel 1/72 MiG-9 Fargo PM Model 1/72 Hawker Sea Fury T-20 Airfix 1/72 WWI tank Mk1 Hasegawa 1/72 Armoured Car Daimler MkII
