Welcome to the forum

LeeTree's correct, they do work best on flat paints. However, if you open the package, use a few of them and put the rest back in the opened package, after a few weeks or months they tend to lose their "stickiness" and get brittle also. I was told that this is one of the major reasons that Letraset and Squadron stopped producing them back in the '80s.

I always found Dry Transfers work best on a flat finish. Just the opposite of water slide Decals.
