                        My favourite elixir for this situation is white glue (like Elmer's) and Solvaset. You apply it just like Woody above. I also agree with kik36 about overcoating with a flat afterwards.

                        Make a solution of Elmers white glue and water. It should look a little cloudy but not too cloudy, sort of like diluted milk. Place a drop on the model and then apply the decal over it. The glue will break the surface tension of the water so the tiny air bubbles that cause the silvered look can't form. The glue will dry clear. Try it on a less noticable area to test it out. I hope this is of some help.

                        I have heard that you can apply the decal in a pool of future. However, I have never tried it myself. I just apply a patch of future, let it dry completely, then decal as normal. Either way I think you will still have to use a coat of flat not only to dull the decal surface but to protect it as well.

                        hey all....
                        at the moment im building a apache longbow chopper. it has a couple of decals to go on it. the paint on it is flat. i know that putting decals ontop of flat paint will casue them to sliver up, but i cant be bothered spraying a gloss clear, then a flat over the decals, just for a couplke of small decals. but i dont want them to sliver up aswell :)
                        what i wanna know if the is anyway i can stop the decals from slivering? using some chemicals maybe? microsol/microset?
