Custom Decals

I've posted a couple threads here about custom decals, well, I've got them on and you can check 'em out.! The Hurricane is all shiny from future and ready to be 'washed'.Tongue [:P]

I printed out the RAF squadron codes (YO*J is RCAF actually but I used RAF fonts) and the serials on testors decal paper. They were printed on a HP PSC 1315 all in one. I played with the colours a bit but they came out a little darker I think than what they should be, oh well.

Also Make sure that you do two coats of the decal sealer! The first time I put on a decal (the "J" for the port fuselage) with just one coat, the decal just shrunk up and didn't disintegrate but "gummed" up and stuck to itself. After I put on a another coat of the sealer, it was fine. Also the decal developed a bit of a purple discolouration but at arms length it really isn't noticable (not sure what caused that). I am quite pleased with the outcome, though. This is my first model after about 10 years! Let me know what you think.Big Smile [:D]
