In a nutshell, you create the designs on your PC (I use MS Paint and MS Word), then print them off on special waterslide paper. Then just cut em out and apply like the ordinary decals you get with kits. Have a look at these links, they pretty much explain it all:

Can someone explain the WHOLE process of making your own decals? I have heard it many different ways, I take it, that it requires its own kinda of paper.
