Fixing Decal Silvering

I'd be interested in hearing what others say about this. I don't know how to fix it. sometimes I cheat too and try to put the decals before some gloss. Sometimes it works but others it doesn't. Depends on the paint. I have had ok results fixing silvering by poking holes with a needle and brushing some future on after. It never fixes it completely but after dull coat it's mostly un-noticable.

I don' t know of a good way of fixing that either. About all I can think of is poking holes, as I-Beam mentioned, and then multiple applications of a decal solvent to let them try and conform to the flat surface. It's probably not going to help a whole lot though.

Gloss coat will help-plus trim the decals as close as you can-silvering results from trapped air on a ruff "flat' surface. "poking" holes in your decals won't hurt either and use a setting solution.
