question about micro sol
Posted by shivinigh on Saturday, July 16, 2005 9:29 AM
I've never used a setting solution for my decals before, but when using micro sol or othe setting agents, when do you use them before or after the decal has dried?

First, there is a difference between Micro set and Micro sol. Usually, Micro set is placed on the surface first then the decal is applied on it while it's still wet. After about 10 minutes, Micro sol can be applied to the decal. Generally, by this time the decal has pretty much dried.

If you use Micro sol, be aware that it's normal for the decal to become quite wrinkled when it's first applied. Don't worry. As the decal dries, the decal will conform to the suface and the wrinkles should go away. After about a day, you can reapply the Micro sol if needed to remove remaining wrinkles.

I've not used other decal setting solutions, so can't speak for them.

shiv - ummmm... the decals look great..... but what is that???? Wink [;)]

good to see your first experience went so well! I blew my first one by trying to move a decal after I put on the microsol even though it warned not to... Disapprove [V] I live by the stuff now!!!
