tranparent decals

HEY,
I am now almost finished with a F-18 Blue Angels Fighter. I was so excited when i was putting the decals on but there was a problem. The decals are yellow and you have to put it on a dark blue background. When you put it on it looks like you can kinda see the blue underneath.Disapprove [V] Do you know how to prevent this?

Just had the same problem with some decals. The solution that I used was to paint white behind where the decal goes to give it a lighter background to work off of.

HEY,
I could do that but there are a lot of details and i wouldnt be able to do touchups because i used a rattle can to paint the blue. Ill try it anyway. Thanks

Hey Randy .... another thought would be to pick a a sheet of white decal paper from your hobby store and cut to the same size as the decal you are working with ..... but this could be more work than painting.

Hi Randy,
Try purchasing a second decal sheet. Apply first set, wait a couple of days till they are fully dry, brush or spray on a coat of Future. When the Future is dry .carefully overlay the second set. I think this could be a way of achieving the density of colour you require.
