Looking for experienced assistance/favors to make decals to put on models to be given to 927th ARW retirees!!!
Mike (a member of the 927th and a friend of my father) has been making models for the retiring officers/members/ and friends in the 927th Air Refueling Wing for a long time. His specialty is making the 1/72 scale kc-135e/r model aircraft. He has been making them in a few weeks advance of the every workers retirement party unless they make a request for a model of a Muscel car they own, or a model of something else if requested. He does thie for free cause he enjoys doing it. My dad told me that sometimes once in a blue moon he is given a gift certificit for a nice restrant or $amt. cause he does such realistic artwork. He has an actual Desert storm going on in the lounge that continues thue the office (except the hanger). They are all different aircraft which have fought in Desert Storm. They are all 1/72scale except for some 1/48 scale.
Anyways, I was looking for someone who has experience in making good quality decals, and who could produce some sheets as a favor from myself and Mike that we can use on the 135s to represent the aircraft that person has worked on the most, piloted or who likes the nose art.
I have no experience in making my own decals yet, and little time to make them since I'm a collage student. So I'm looking for someone who could do me a great favor. I have photographs of the 6+ kc-135e/r aircraft that were taken by someone my dad knows using a digital camera.
I need them made soon cause the unit is being moved to McDill AFB and allot of officers are going to retire or be given other work in another unit at the base, or a job at the TACOM facility here, and my Father is retiring this year in the Beginning of December.
I need the favor cause I don't have experience in making my own decals yet. I would appreciate it if someone could make me a sheet of the aircraft's nose arts, tail band and some markings that I can't get from Numbers and letters decal sheets.
If anyone knows of anybody who could or would do me this favor I would appreciate it. Unless I can get someone who could make me a few sheets of several Nose arts and tail markings with the boom markings.
If anoyne can give me a hand I would appreciate it as well as the unit members who will be reciving a model that hopefully for once has our markings on it instead of having a Wuritsmith or a K.I. Sawyer AF units markings on it.
