Bonding decals with Future?
Posted by berny13 on Tuesday, February 7, 2006 2:13 PM

Can Future be used to coat computer generated decals?  I have used the Testors Decal Bonder, but it is such a waste when making only one or two decals.  With future in an airbrush I would have more control.  Below is my latest creation, which will be used on F-4D, 66-8711, "Seven Come Eleven".

Now that's an interesting idea. I've heard of using Future to overcoat decal sheets, so it might work. Why not try it and let us know?

Ross Martinek A little strangeness, now and then, is a good thing… Wink

Bill

I haven't tried it yet but the guy at my LHS said to use Krylon polyurethane.  Decant ala swanny's gloss black for Alclad and spray over the inkjet decals with an airbrush. He claims nice an thin decal with this method.
