Why is it that for my 1/48 Sr-71 they give me decals that are almost 6 inches long! how do they expect me to put them down right? Anyone got any ideas?

They are testing your patience. Try cutting up the decals and put them on in smaller pieces. I did that with a checkerboard nose art decal on a P-47 and it worked quite nicely.

Fan of Bionicles, are you?

So long folks!

That's a great idea!  I never thought of doing that for the big, cumbersome decals!

Try sliding about 1/16" of the decal off the end of the backing aand getting that little bit in the right place then gently lay the backingdown where the decal goes and gently slide it out from under the decal while you have one fingertip on the already placed end. Make sure you have the area flodded with Microset and prod the decal in place with a paintbrush, use a Q-tip to help press it down as it lines up. Works for me with long thin decals.
