Best Laser Printer

Having been spoiled with making decals with Office Depot type laser copiers, and having to resort to making them with ink jet printers since the Office Depots and print shops around here will not do it any more, has anybody found the best laser copier for making decals?

Not sure on desk top type "copiers" for the home owner, however, there are several very good desk top, compact color laser printers available to the consumer.  Prices for these vary among manufacturers, and brands, averaging between $300 to $2,000  These types are great for making decals.  I use a Minolta Magicolor 2300W color laser printer for my needs.  The max DPI is 600x600, which for lasers printers, is the equivelent to 2400x600 DPI.  Check other brands such as Dell, HP, Xerox, and ALPS.  No, not refering to the Alps printer that printed white, but they offer a line of traditional color laser printers.  A tip to improve the quality of the printed decals is in maximizing the resolution in your graphics program prior to printing. This is applicable  for inkjet printers as well.  In Photoshop I create the new document and tell Photoshop to render at between 600 and 700 resolution for very good decals.  At this resolution, even small stencil such as on 1/72nd scale model appear sharp, crisp and legible.  Good luck on your search!

Thanks. Appreciate the input. Will check into that Minolta and take your tip on the resolution.
