Questions about revell germany decals

I am staring to build 1/32 fw190 wide tail. Upon inspection of the decals I found that they seem thick and almost semi flat in appearance. I don't think I have seen decals like this before. I did do some net research but didn't come up with much about it. My questions are how well do they go on over a gloss finish? Is there anything special I should know? And how well do they react to decal solution?
