Coating laser-printed decals a necessity?
Posted by mfsob on Wednesday, August 30, 2006 11:22 AM
I've used Micromark's laser decal paper before with good results. This time, I actually read the directions ... I know, I know ... and they said even the laser printed ones should be coated to prevent tearing or flaking near the edge of the decals. Since I just got done making a whole lot of 1/700 aircraft markings (think really, really small) I'm now wondering, do I have to do this? What are other's experiences?

I suggest you coat them with something as they might flake when you try to apply them, you can use Krylon clear in a spray can or Future.
