Trouble with ProModeler....
Either Revell-Monogram made some very poor decals in their ProModeler line, or I'm doing somthing wrong...
For the second time, I purchased the ProModeler sheet for the F-102A Delta Dagger. I really wanted to make a 327th FIS Deuce. Well, I had the same problem as before. I dipped a decal in water for a few seconds, placed it on a towel, and patiently waited until the decal was able to slide easily off the paper. That's not what happend. The larger decals always shattered. Obviously, the carrier film is defective on these sheets. The sheets aren't very old (1996), so age shouldn't be a factor.
Has anyone else had this trouble before with ProModeler decals??? I considered using the tip Paul Boyer gave in a recent issue of FSM about using liquid carrier film, but I lucked out and found a Superscale sheet for my 102 with 327th FIS markings.
One good hour working on a model erases 8 bad hours at work!!
