Decals Won't Stick
Posted by Mikecat1 on Thursday, December 28, 2006 4:45 AM
I am building an older AMT Babylon 5 Star Fury and I find that the decals won't stick to the model after they leave the paper backing. Once they dry, they simply curl up and fall off. I have tried decal set, but that doesn't seem to help.  Are there any other techniques or products I could use to make the decals stick down properly?

Try using Future Floor Finish. Dab the area where you want the decal, and while still wet apply the decal. That should get it to stick. Then another coat of Future on top.

What could be a more appropriate product to use on spaceships than Future?!? Smile [:)]

So long folks!

Thats the worst joke Ive heard in a while! Laugh [(-D]just kidding man, made me laugh.  Anyways, not much else to add, only that when youre done the whole thing, you may want to spray on some Clear Flat Finish, since Future can be kinda shiny.

Another way of getting decals to stick is using thinned white glue.
