Decal curing time

This just occurred to me.  Is there a general guideline you guys use as to how long to wait for decals to dry or cure before topcoating?  I usually wait a day.  On average how long does it take a decal to dry completely?

Should be dry in a couple of hours but like you, I wait until next day before doing anything to them.
