matt coat

Tamiya doesn't make a matt coat. They only sell a flat base, which is NOT the same thing. You are to add the flat base to their regular clear gloss to make matt coat. I know this, but only because I did the exact same thing. In fact, it was my very first post on these forums!

You're welcome. Depending on how long ago you applied the flat base, you might be able to buff it off with a soft cloth. Tamiya really needs to put a warning on their flat base as this is a very common error! I still use the product to this day, only I mix it with Future Floor Finish.

Future is sold as Mr. Muscle in SA, look for the one with the Future logo at the bottom of the label. It may also be found as Johnsons One Step. BTW Mr. Muscle is also the name of an oven cleaner, which can also be used as a paint REMOVER. Don't mix 'em up! The specific information is about halfway down. He has some excellent information on his site about airbrushing, thinning paints and other stuff. It comes in a spray bottle? Make sure it's not the oven cleaner!!

Future in Canada comes is a squirt bottle, like a drinking bottle. I use my airbrush to spray with, and you can use a wide, soft brush to brush it on. It has self levelling properties. 

 Just another question, how much flat base do i add to future for my final coat. and i dont want to sound stupid, but how do load pics to your post?
