Please help me make a bf 109e "yellow 4 "decal in 1:48
Posted by plane mad on Saturday, September 29, 2007 3:37 PM

I was hoping that someone here could help me make a custom decal.

I need a luftwaffe yellow  "4" with a thin black out line for a 1:48 bf 109e. All the luftwaffe assorted numbers decals sheets i have are the incorrect size for the aircraft im making. The dimensions i need it to be are 10mm wide by 15mm high. the exact size and style is on page 109 of the bf109e monograph book if anyone has it.

If anyone could help make this decal for me i would be very grateful. Please fell free to leave me a post here or send me an email. Thankyou very much in advance , cheers Pete.

The easiest way for you to do that is make it multi-parts. Make the black 4 in the final size and put it on the model. Make the decal 4 in yellow the size you want. Print off one on white sheet if you're brave enough to cut it out exactly. If not, print it on clear decal film but you'll need 2 or 3 to make it opaque enough. Then apply it over the black decal leaving the border showing.

That is likely the easiest way without having a master of photoshop make them up for you. And I have done it myself once. So hey - it can't be all that hard then can itWhistling [:-^]

Take this plastic and model it!
