Every article I've read about making your own decals talks about an Alps printer being used. From what I'm able to find out about an Alps printer they seem kind of expensive. I want to do this for myself occasionally. I don't want to go into business. Is there any viable alternative that will produce good results?

The Alps printer they're talking is:

  1. Capable of printing White.
  2. No longer in production, and hasn't been for at least a couple of years.
  3. Even if you could find a used one, the consumables are no longer made.
So, your options now are to just buy a decent inkjet and use decal sheets available and not print white.

So long folks!

Thanks, I kind of got that impression when I went on the Alps electronics website and saw that they were discontinuing various products. Every electronics store I checked didn't have any info on them either. I don't see a problem with using white decal film instead.

I've got a Xerox laser printer which I have had great luck printing my own decals with.
