Is there a guide available for correct font sizes for different scale models?

Not that I know of, but quite honestly, if you're making your own decals, even with a laser printer set at the highest DPI setting you have, anything much under 2 points is going to be unreadable. I tend to go by what looks "right," or take a measurement off an existing decal sheet in that scale. You can go all the way down to 1 point in Microsoft Word, but again, readability at that size is going to questionable.

i just had to do that for the 1/48 HH-53, the revell kit. Decals are too big. Had my print out new ones (see question on Microscale liquid stuff). I finally just told her how much room she had to use (2" x .5") and she printed them out. But no matter what the scale of the decal...the ink still runs with Microscale!!!!!!!

Ugh,

That also depends on the paper you are using. You are better off to spray a clear flat (not acrylic) to seal the inks on.
Take this plastic and model it!
