Milky decals
Posted by Titan on Thursday, January 24, 2008 6:53 PM

Hi all

I bought a  set of Aeromaster decals for the F-105 -  The first ones I put on were incredibly milky. It  took lots and lots  of wiping away and even some fine sandpaper to get rid of the  white.   I have bnbnever seen this much of a  'milk' problem.

Seems to me it must be a decal problem,  but any ideas how I can  save this sheet and eliminate the problem?

Thanks

Hi Jack,

I don't know what it's called or how to fix it, but I'm sure you can find an answer to your decal problem by clicking on the Search option and typing in the word 'Milky'.

Good luck.

Lightly coat them with Future after they have set, that should make the milky white disappear. I had the same issues with some decal on my Rockwell International (Bob Hoover) P-51.

Hey, thanks for the reply

Well, I actualy did that - infact I sprayed the model with future, and then used Future in the application - thats whay I was really surprised by this - and thats  also wy it was harder to remove the white.

Thanks again, I apreceiate the input.
