Xuron 440 shear

Hey Gerald is the Xuron 440 as good as it sounds?

I am wondering if I should get one for these Eduard PE parts or just use an X-acto on a piece of glass?

A most definite YES! I wouldn't be without one now that I've experienced using it.

Thanks Gerald.

Now the question is where can I find one for the best price?

Money is tight and buying another modeling tool is hard to explain to the wife. Big Smile [:D]

Well the Xuron 440 shears arrived a while ago and I tried them out on a corner of the Eduard PE parts I have for my LAV-25 kit and I must say I am impressed!

These things cut through PE parts like  sharp scissors cut through paper.

I highly recommend them.  Thumbs Up [tup]

Just remember they are for PE and thin brass and aluminum sheet...not piano wire or stainless steel. Wink [;)] If you ever have problems with them...the good folks at Xuron will help you.

Thank You Gerald.

Like my scissors for decals they will be marked for one intended purpose only!

Thanks for the heads up on these, they are exactly what us modelers need for PE parts! Big Smile [:D]

I may have to pony up for a pair of these. These tiny little Tamiya scissors I have are rediculous. Cut well but must be made for tiny Jap fingers cause my fat American fingers will hardly fit the handles.
