Khan,

There are specialty tools out there, but if you tape a single edge razor blade to a flat surface, you can use that, along with another razor blade, for most of the bends you need to make. Just slip the PE part under the taped-down blade to the right position, press with one hand to hold it in place, then use the other blade to bend it to the right angle.

The PE will bend much easier, and hold its shape better, if you anneal it over a candle. Use super glue or Gator's grip Glue to attach. A magnifier will be a big help too!

Good luck,

JimC

Photetch Tools?
Posted by Khan Noonien Singh on Sunday, October 25, 2009 5:33 PM

Please help. I just bought the Eduard F6 Hellcat, which comes with some photetch pieces. I have never worked with photoetch, and I am a bit intimidated by it. Are there any specialized tools that will help me not mess them up? Any other tips would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers, Khan
