Great resource in denver for micro-mark!
Posted by HSteve on Saturday, December 19, 2009 7:01 PM

This thread is primarily for Denver-area residents...

I was poking around the Alameda/Broadway area a while ago, and stumbled across Caboose Hobbies...

Great store if you're into model trains, but I thought they wouldn't have anything worthwhile fore scale models...

OOPS!

Caboose stocks a lot of Micro-mark tools that you see on their site, just accessible to "touchy-feely" shoppers.

I picked up a set of pin-bits(#60-80), a scriber and a set of needle files, all amazingly close in price to what M-M sells them for online - within a couple of bucks in most cases...

I'm heading back when I have the 'scratch' to afford a Waldron-style punch set - I love this tool.

Anyway, if you're in the Denver area, check 'em out...

The one negative is when I was there, I mentioned the fact that I was a static builder, and the chap I talked to kind of rolled his eyes at me...Whatever...

good store, mostly friendly staff, and they have a brass locomotive(un-finished, HO scale) for 2 grand!Surprise

Even if you are not into trains, Caboose is a great place to find tools, paints, scratch building supplies and more. Heck just go in and poke around but be very careful...model RR can be very addicting. Believe me I know!

On my workbench now:

It's all about classic cars now!

Why can't I find the "Any" key on my keyboard?
