It's still listed as "available" (as is the white version) on the Tamiya USA site. However, the epoxy and polyester putties are listed as discontinued.
Don't fret Marc, now you can buy the 3M Acryl Blue and forget the rest.

Mike, I have heard of this stuff. How does that sand out and feather? That was one of the thing I liked about the Tamiya stuff. What about scribing when you have to from plastic to putty to plastic?

It sands and feathers fantastic I think. Very smooth texture and sands easily.
I have not scribed into it to comment on that. Maybe Gerald has.

I bought mine online Boyd but I would imagine any well stocked auto body repair supply would carry it.
I just did a quick check with Amazon.com and found it for $17.16 plus $5.19 shipping, but as I said if there is a place near you it might be cheaper when you factor in shipping costs.

I've not used the 3M blue yet but will soon.As far as scribing, I don't know about the blue but I recently figured out that scribing through Squadron can be done with a UMM-USA blade. I put a broken piece of blade in an exacto handle and used it recently in conjunction with two other tools to rescribe a large kit and the UMM blade makes a very nice sharp cut though the putty without buggering the edges of the line.
I also have a piece of the JLC saw in a handle. it is by far my favorite scriber

To the topic, however....
As you've seen, there are alternatives to Tamiya's putty, with plenty of adherents and their experience to recommend one or the other.
I'll add, beside's 3M's Blue or Green Acryl automotive putty, that I use Squadron white, thinned with acetone, and it fills and sands nicely, in my experience.
I am tracking down the 3M putty, though, because I've seen it used, and it, too, can be thinned with acetone, or lacquer thinner, and the results I've seen were very clean, too.
