It's NOT an apron...

It's not an apron....It’s a Tactical Protective Garment / Small Parts Arresting Barrier!

My girlfriend gave me a very thoughtful birthday gift of this high speed/low drag piece of kit from Tactical Grilling. It's pricey compared to a cloth shop apron, but you can't argue with the cool factor (and I didn't have to buy it Big Smile). It's made of 1000D cordura and they come in every pattern of camo. Great for saving my clothes from paint and glue.  I modified it for the “jeweler's apron” effect: I sewed a couple of inches of velcro on each corner at the bottom and put corresponding pieces of velcro on the underside of my workbench. When I sit down I press the hem of the apron up against the bottom of the desk and Voila! Much less crawling around on hands and knees retrieving tiny bits of PE from the Carpet Monster, as they just land in my lap. (Pieces launched by the Tweezerpult still require a SAR callout).  I'm sure its equally at home as designed: keeping beer and BBQ sauce at bay by the grill. http://www.facebook.com/TacticalGrilling or http://gearpatrol.com/blog/2009/07/01/tactical-grilling-apron/

I think that is a great idea but I am afraid that if my wife saw that I might get banned to the basement forever. But I do like your Counter-Intelligence agent by your side.

I could have used one of those on the weekend. Spent a half-hour on my knees looking for an air scoop from a 1/72 jet! Your Pug doesn't look nearly as impressed as we are!

On the bench: Airfix 1/72 Wildcat; Airfix 1/72 Vampire T11; Airfix 1/72 Fouga Magister

Ha!Ha! Oliver the Pug has tactical gear of his own, appropriate for his main mission, which seems to be napping. He's not impressed by much that does not involve chow time.
