best way to fill your touch n flow

I use the sucking method, I never draw more than a couple of inches up the tube, I have to refill more often but no big problem. I tried the refill bottle that came with the T&F and ended up putting more on the work bench than in the tube. I broke my first T&F months back and quickly realized how much I use it, I  just wish it was a little more easy to regulate the amount coming out.

I have been using a cut off Testos eye dropper to suck up the stuff. Fits like a glove and usually only takes a couple of squezzes to fill er up

Since I take vitamin B-12 injections at home once a month I have a supply of syringes.  I've found that these are the best things I've ever found to fill a touch-n-flow.  Draw out what you need into the syringe and then slowly shoot it down the tube of the touch-n-flow.  If you have a good relationship with you doc or your pharmacist you should be able to get a syringe or two.  If not, if you will check on the Micro-Mark web site I believe they have a syringe like thing for filling the touch-n-flow.

I used to stick the TnF in the glue and let natural capillary action draw it up, but couldn't get it to work past the first time in one session. I've been using the filler bottle ever since; I have the old style with the larger metal tube, and I slide it over the metal end of the TnF and suck the glue up into the tool. It also allows me to refill it constantly (handy when you're building a B-36!).

Just an "FYI". It has somewhat of a minty taste with a touch of sweetness.

Isn't that the taste you get in your mouth when you regain consciousness? 

If I can ever get mine to work, I'm thinking of getting about 12"-18" of vacuum hose that fits the big end of the tube and sucking on that after attaching the other end to the glass.  You have a LOT more control, can see what you're doing better and there's a much longer path before you fill your mouth with the minty goodness.

I've never used my touch n flow. When I do there definitely will not be any sucking on it. I finally made it to 62 years of age as of Jan 5th and I might want another 20 years for building. Use the safer methods so no one will have to "plant" you any sooner than nature intended.

The squeeze ball sounds like a good idea too. Since I already had my lips on the tube blowing it just came to me. Like mentioned above you need to keep one eye on the tube to keep the glue out of your mouth. Then when i need to empty it I just blow it back in the jar. No mess!

I do the sucking thing. I found out real fast that the glue does not taste good.

That filler bottle that T&F supplies is useless.  More stuff spills onto your hands than goes into the glass tube.  I simply immerse the tube, open end first, into a bottle of solvent.  Then I remove it with a kleenex in hand to wipe off the outside.  Note, this won't work if you have a bit of solvent still in the needle, so before doing the filling trick, I carefully wipe off the outside of the tube and blow into it to clear the needle. 

If the tiny opening in the needle is clogged with a bit of melted plastic, put the T&F needle down into a bottle of solvent, let it sit awhile, then blow it out.

I fill up the filler bottle with solvent, then remove the tip (it screws out) and insert the TnF through the hole needle first. if I get a good seal, and squeeze the filler bottle, all the solvent will go into the TnF. Most efficient way I've found to use it, beats the hell out of sucking it through or waiting for it to trickle in the back.  Just make sure you don't leave the filler bottle filled for long periods, after a couple of days solvent starts to evaporate out of the bottle.

Get a baby snot sucker bulb thing. I have a blue one that went "missing" from the changing table. Put needle end in your Tenax, squeeze bulb, put it down over the glass at the back, and suck away. When I get a really good seal, it can fill the thing halfway.

While it might not fill it all the way you can put the TnF in the jar tail end first and the capillary action will draw it up the tube...to at least the level of the fluid.

With your mouth?  Brother, that is one trick you don't want to get wrong.  You don't really want that stuff on your skin much less in your mouth.

I use a syringe without the needle.  Pull the plunger up enough to allow the T&F tip to have clearance inside.  Draw the liquid up the back end about 1/2 way.  Turn it point down and the liquid will flow down to the tip.  A tap on the side will dislodge any bubble that may get stuck at the back of the needle.
