Micro Drill Bit find
Posted by Hercmech on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 8:22 PM

I found a great deal on micro drill bits and thought I would pass it on to you folks.

These bits are from harbor freight and are some of the sharpest bits I have found and the handle/chuck makes it so my eyes and fingers can't miss them. I am always on the look out for a good thing and when I find one I figure I will pass it on.

Check them out here

I have used some very similar bits and a word of caution.  The ones I had were very brittle, and frequently broke if you allow any bending.  Mine broke at the point where the actual drill bit expands via a tapered section to the 1/8 inch diameter. One must be very careful not to allow bending or misalignment of the drill motor or Mototool. Hold everything perfectly straight and go at a slow speed.

Good tips Don. I don't plan on using them in my motortool...rather I can spin them with my fingers like a pin vise. They seem pretty sturdy...well as sturdy as any hair thick bit can be. Cool

You should be ok finger twisting those bits as the smallest is a #67.  Check my post a few lines down form this one for pits smaller than #80.
