Go to the Painting and Airbrushing forum and read up a few pages. Pick titles that seem to be relevant to your questions. You should get most of the answer.

Be fore warned that the choice of an airbrush is somewhat subjective and personal. It may be easier to zero in what you want if you have a target budget amount.

The best cleaning procedure depends on the airbrush you pick. If you pick one that requires you to break it down in every color change, the chance is that you will not use it very much.

Good luck.

Hello all, im new to modeling and up until today I have been using brushes to paint my models.  As I explore the modeling community, im starting to realize that the models i have been doing that I thought were really good. . .  are really not that good compared to some of your alls.  I get brush strokes on my models, uneven lines when im paint certain portions of the model, etc.  So, I have decided to purchase an airbrush and give it a go.  I have a few questions though:

1.  Whats the best type of airbrush to purchase thats easy to use, and not super expensive?  My local hobby shop seems to sale Testor versions

2.  Every time I switch a paint color, do I have to break down the airbrush and clean the previous color out?

Thankyou guys in advance

I will not sacrifice the Enterprise. We've made too many compromises already; too many retreats. They invade our space and we fall back. They assimilate entire worlds and we fall back. Not again. The line must be drawn here! This far, no further! And *I* will make them pay for what they've done."
