Welcome to the club.
"Whaddya mean 'Who's flying the plane?!' Nobody's flying the plane!"
I have a pair of Kamisori scissors my wife won when she was a hair stylist. She got out of the business shortly afterward and gave me the scissors. I've used them exclusively to cut out decals for 5 years and they are still as sharp as a brand new razor blade. They retail for about $400.
yup... ya never know where stuff may be sometimes.
these cut decals very well.. and thin card stock.. I replaced them last year with some good quality dress shears, and Left Handed( I'm a lefty ) ... The old scissors, are righties.. but thats what I learned to cut with.. its been a challenge to learn the lefties..
Awesome scissors! I can see why you missed them.
I had a similar incident. I dismantled the old Cousteau ship Calypso and put the parts somewhere that I forgot!
About a year later I was rearranging my stash and the box of a completed kit (I keep all my boxes of built kits) slid off the shelf, onto the floor, scattering the Calypso parts everywhere. I thought "so that is where you've been hiding!!!" Also inside was the fancy contoured rubberized X-acto knife that I didnt even know was missing because I'd forgotten about buying it. I seriously do not remember putting either item in that box.
Good to hear they have been found.
Nav will have the Lair's Barkeep set up a round for everyone to celebrate with ya.

for those of you that followed my old thread about my missing scissors.. ! They turned up last night!! they were hiding not more than 3 ft from my bench.. on top of a kit of a Hasagawa Captured Zero, and under about 6-7 kits and AM and PE kits in my stash...
For those that didn't.. these are my oldest modeling tool I stil had.. I stole em off my mom's sewing basket when I was a young teen... ( I am now.. 47 ).. and I lost em 2 Xmas' ago after a marathon wrapping session...
glad to have them back !
