The dividers they sell at the art/craft stores of junk. Where can I get good dividers in the 3, 4 and 6 inch range?

Hmmm? You has not entered a biography so I can’t guess which “art” stores you used. (I use Pla-Za.)

K and E for drafting. Starrett and Craftsman used to make good ones, but I only see them on eBay for too much money.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

Seems to me I saw them at Harbor Freight, but have no idea how good they were- they were in a mechanical drawing instrument set.
