Dremel Moto Saw- An initial review
Posted by Kolschey on Monday, July 15, 2013 3:49 PM

Hi all!

I bought the Dremel Moto Saw this June for my scratchbuilding work. So far, I've been quite pleased, so I wrote up a quick review. You can see it here:

Looks like a good little piece of equipment for a scratch builder. Now I am intrigued, one question how noisy is it? Just curious.

I enjoyed the review as well, it was good enough to spark my interest in this machine.

I sure wish that they would either re-release their old circular saw, or come out with a new one.  The miniature circular saws available these days are either very expensive or pieces of junk.  The Dremel seemed like a good performance/cost.  I kick myself for not getting one when they were available.

Truly interesting to learn that Dremel has released this. I still have my decades old version, long since discontinued and it still works great. Like Don, always wish I would have acquired a Dremel mini circular saw when it was available.

Good review! Thanks for the information.

Good point about lighting, BTW.

Hey there,

Noise definitely varies by the power setting. It's not as quiet as say, a sewing machine. I find that it does not bother my ears, but one wouldn't want to run it in a room with a sleeping child or baby that you didn't want to wake.
