Tamiya paint rack
Posted by Arespontus on Friday, August 9, 2013 7:29 PM

Hello

I am wondering if there is somewhere that I could purchase a rack like you see when you go to your local hobby store. I would like to store all my tamiya paints on it. It allows you to place the tamiya paints in it while also displaying a swatch for the color it represents.

Please let me know if there is a location I can purchase this

Cheers

Scott

Hello

I am having a tough time finding a Tamiya paint rack for 10ml paints. Sarpedon1978 suggested that I could find them on ebay. However I cannot find them there. If they are on Ebay can you show me where.

Ebay can be hit or miss. Keep checking back. One thing you can do is save your search and ebay will email you when that item becomes available.

One problem with an Ebay search is you can sometimes get all kinds of hits that have nothing to do with what you want. If you narrow the search down to much you risk missing the item.

The key is in finding the word or phrase that will return that rack as a hit. You might call it a "rack" a seller might call it something entirely different.

Do a search in "completed listings" to get an idea of what the item is usually called. I dunno if its the one you are looking for but it looks like its gonna run you about $100!

As Sarpedon1978 suggested, why not try a local hobby shop or two that stock Tamiya product?

Racking is generally supplied with a dealers first, initial stock of paint & after that additional section & complete racks can be ordered by them as required, I don't think that it would be too difficult for them to order in what you require.

Part No.;

69037 is the complete rack with 6 shelves, 1 shelf is 9 slot for thinners & aerosols, the remaining 5 are 15 slot for mini acrylics - it's big & weighs in at about 20Kg (over 100Kg when fully loaded!).

69049 is an additional shelf for the above rack, again with 15 slots. This may be more useful than a complete rack & you could in theory get as many or as few shelves as required - these units come with joints which allow them to be stacked on the standard rack or on each other.

69035 for the complete Tamiya fan in you is the branded rack header board.
