I just spent several hours using some of the PE and loved it. The quality is excellent but it takes some time studying the pictures to figure out how or what to do. Everything seems to be well thought out so it's a bit disappointing that the instructions leave so much to be desired.

I used the Pontos set for my Zvezda Dreadnought.   It was a nice set.  The only problem was that the set instructions have very few graphics, using pictures instead for most of the pieces.  But the photography was not the best so it was not as easy to use as those brands that use drawn graphics.  Deck was nice, barrels nice, PE great.

Does anyone have any experience with them? I've been building for decades and I'm completely comfortable with PE but I'm suddenly way in over my head. I got the Trumpeter 1/350 Yorktown and the Pontos set with wooden decks, resin and tons of PE but I'm finding the instructions more than I can handle. There's little reference to what replaces what or where it goes, there seem to be things missing (several cranes seem to be included but no instructions showing it) and many other frustrations. Part of my problem stems from simply getting older (65) and needing larger drawings but I'm sincerely regreting having spent the money. Is there a place where I can get help from them that anyone knows of? They do have an email address I just sent a request to. Has anyone used it with any sucess?
