thinking about buying a chopper. . .
Posted by paulnchamp on Sunday, February 29, 2004 6:46 PM
I'm starting to get into a little scratchbuilding, and I've been hearing for some time about how handy a "chopper" is. The LHS has a Northwest Short LIne one for about $23.

My question, for anyone who happens to own one, is: are these things really as good as I've heard? Is that a reasonable price for one?
Thanks in advance,
Paul

I've owned one for years and really like it. And your price doesn't sound bad.

It kinda resembles a proffesional paper cutter....it has a small grid on it, and you can line up the piece of styrene you want to chop, and then it chops it in a nice straight even line.....this is what I 've heard, as I don't own one myself, but will buy one in a couple of weeks.
