Anyone have any extra 22 gauge hypo tubing?

Would any of you happen to have any 22 gauge (.0160" I.D.) hypo tubing laying around that you don't need? I need a little for the four cannon barrels on my Skyraider and I'm not about to pay SmallParts.com almost $9 shipping on $3 worth of tubing. Big Smile [:D]

Mike,
I might have some I can send you. E-mail me, and we'll discuss it. I ordered a lot of tubing from smallparts.com for my Missouri, and I know I won't be using it all. Don't know if it's exactly the dimension you are quoting, but it should be close. I'll check.

Regardless, I have tubing I can send you.

Mike,

I don't know what kind of laws you have on purchasing and posessing hypodermic needles where you live (some places are awfully tough on purchasing and having that sort of thing and rightly so) but you might check with your local pharmacy. If it is legal locally, they can get you just about any size you want. And a whole lot cheaper I might add.

Thanks Quincy.

They are illegal here without a prescription I believe.
Isn't it ironic that us modelers can't get them for our hobby but they pass them out to junkies for free in some cities so that they don't share needles? SoapBox [soapbox]
Anyhow, that's for another debate. Wink [;)]

The size I need for the 20mm cannons on the Skyraider would be bigger than most places would carry anyhow. I think that size would be more likely found at a veterinarian than a pharmacy. Big Smile [:D]

Outch, that is stupid.
Luckily no such laws/rules over here, simply walk into the LHs and pick up a set of syringes and needles.

BTW, you just gave me a great idea on who to make small scale hydraulics for cockpits and similar.

I give my animals their shots and have several 25 gauge by 5/8" "cannon barrels". Will that work for ya? If so, e-mail me (via my profile) and we'll work out the shipping cost. I won't ship 'em unless I cut 'em - don't need those junkies getting ahold of 'em. I'm also a dibetic and have 28 gauge cannon barrels that I throw away every day. Big Smile [:D]

Dave,

That would only be a .34" I.D. cannon barrel in 1/48. Wink [;)]
Those would be about the right size though for .50 cal machine guns in 1/72.
Of course I am going by the specs on SmallParts web site for regular wall hypo tubing.
