I use something very similar I picked up at Walmarts summer clearance stuff several years ago.

I hot glued several small containers along one side (top?) to hold tools, brushes, paints bottles, etc.

I mainly use it in my recliner while watching a show/movie with family.

Best of three worlds! Family, modeling, TV!

Almost anything works, I just hate dropping very small pieces so this is what I grab when theres something on my bench I can barely see....

I use microwaveable trays for sorting out parts specially if working on several models at once.

Too many models to build, not enough time in a lifetime!!

Just something I use on occasion when I'm working with very small parts like PE. This isn't the exact tray I use, but its a milk white plastic serving tray about 16X20 with shallow sides and the white background allows me to see parts clearly. I would think a cafeteria tray or something similar would also work. Anyway just a thought, but it may be something to keep somebody from losing parts thats only a dollar or two at some 99 cent stores.
